If you need to make changes to your regulated activities, the locations from which you provide them, or any conditions of your registration you need to let the CQC know

When you register, the CQC puts conditions on your registration; these are usually routine and limit or restrict what you can do. For example, they can:
- specify the locations where you may operate from;
- limit the service you can provide at those locations.
If there are concerns about the quality or safety of your service, extra conditions can be added. For example, the CQC may:
- require you to make improvements;
- set timeframes for you to make those improvements.
The conditions of your registration can also change if:
- the CQC decides to add, remove or vary a condition;
- you apply to have a condition removed or varied.
Make changes to your locations
The CQC lists your locations as a condition of your registration. You can decide at any time that you wish to carry on regulated activity from a different location, but you must apply to change that condition with the CQC. The CQC will assess your application to decide if you can meet the requirements at your new location and then grant or refuse your application on this basis.
Operating more than one service from the same location address
You can operate more than one service at or from the same location address. You do not need to apply for a variation to add a service if you:
- are registered with the CQC for each relevant regulated activity;
- already have a condition saying that you can carry on the activity at that address.
Add or remove a location
If you want to move a location to a different address to those listed in your condition of registration for the relevant regulated activity, you must apply to:
- remove and add locations for your provider registration;
- remove and add locations for your manager registrations.
You must send all the applications together. If the CQC is already taking action to remove locations from your registration, you do not need to apply to have them removed again.
If your business address (for example, your head office) is also changing, you must also send a notification form.
