As reported by Digital Health, Q Doctor is now supporting over 500,000 patients with online GP consultations
Q Doctor has announced that it is now providing over half a million patients with video GP consultations.
The service currently supports 60 NHS GP practices in England and allows patients to access professional support via video link.
One aim is to lessen the common anxiety created by meeting with doctors face-to-face, while enjoying the benefits of building a personal rapport with them.
Dr Chris Whittle, Q doctor’s Founder and CEO, said of Q Doctor: “Our a rigorous approach to safety, fitting in with existing practices systems and processes, and keeping access free to patients on existing GP practice lists, are the things that have set us apart and mean that we able to have a really positive impact on the care patients received.
“It’s fantastic to see such enthusiasm and collaboration with GPs right across the country.”
CQC has already published a report stating that Q Doctor is safe and effective.
Whittle added: “We’re really pleased to receive CQC recognition, demonstrating our commitment to first-class governance and regulation that is clearly evident from the confidence NHS organisations have in Q doctor to use our innovative healthtech platform in the delivery of high quality NHS healthcare.”
