As reported by Enhanced Primary Care, a suite of user-friendly information governance templates is now available to support the lawful use of health and care data, offering time-saving benefits and encouraging collaboration across the healthcare system
Approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Health Research Authority and the National Data Guardian, these Data Protection Impact Assessment, Data Sharing and Processing Agreement, Information Assets & Flows Register and Privacy Notice templates will save time and streamline your work processes.
Download the templates here and look out for teach-in sessions and training videos coming soon. Before use, check with your data protection officer, information governance lead, or your management team if you are a small organisation.
As reported by NHS England, the adoption of the templates is non-mandatory. However, all organisations using and sharing health and care information are encouraged to use these templates to reduce duplication and facilitate collaborative work across the system.
