According to The Mail, a trial of first contact physios in the Morecambe Bay area is proving popular
New clinics giving patients in the Morecambe Bay area access to first contact physiotherapists have proven hugely successful.
The trial has meant that 200 patients have been seen since November 2018.
The clinics are in place at Bay Medical Group, Ashtrees Health Centre and Ulverston and Dalton practices.
The physiotherapists can offer advice, exercises and information regarding conditions such as knee and back pain.
Patients suffering a variety of musculoskeletal problems can refer themselves to first contact physios when they make a GP appointment.
