Expanded primary health-care team coming to east London, The London Free Press reports.
The InterCommunity Health Care Centre is expanding its team of health-care professionals to cover the city’s east end, the South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) announced Wednesday.
The move will connect east London residents and newcomers to the city with a wide range of health-care professionals, including socials workers, psychologists, respiratory therapists and nurses.
“The London InterCommunity Health Centre provides inclusive and equitable health and social services for people and communities who face barriers to accessing appropriate care,” executive director Scott Courtice said in a statement.
“The expansion of our inter-professional primary care team will allow us to connect more Londoners to our comprehensive services, which will improve the overall health and well being of the communities we serve.”
