Approximately 80,000 patients have been caught up in the NHS backlog across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The government has provided a £350m budget to unravel the backlogs caused by COVID.
At Kidderminster Hospital, a £7m investment has helped to expand a diagnostic unit and fund a new mobile operating theatre and MRI scanner in Hereford.
“I had been worried and thought I would have to wait forever, but I was seen within two weeks,” says a patient.
