NHS Networks has announced the launch of its new website with a clearer user interface and features such as direct messaging, a member dashboard, and emoji’s
For over a decade, NHS Networks has provided a free virtual networking platform and valued news portal for health and social care.
NHS Networks is a free resource for anyone working in or with the health and care sector to use to share information, network with others and keep up to date with news.
Last year, it ran a survey for its users, asking what they liked about the site, what they thought of the functionality and what it could change or do better.
The results clearly demonstrated that it needed to update its website and the feedback was included in its web development plan to shape and build its new website for users.
The changes are intended to make the site easier to use and more in line with social networking sites.
The new look website includes:
- Simpler and clearer user interface
- Easier to use discussion forums
- Ability to customise virtual networks
- Simpler navigation
- Make it easy for network administrators to connect with their members
New features of the site include:
- Direct messaging
- Emoji’s
- Submissions from users for site wide publication eg events and posts
- Member dashboard to view all activity in your networks and forums
It has also introduced a new look for its weekly newsletter and daily news alerts.
