Consultants and junior doctors in England announce strike action – picket lines set up across the nation

Consultants and junior doctors in England are set to take industrial action, including a 24-hour joint strike on Wednesday, September 20th, amid ongoing disputes. Picket lines will be active in various regions, impacting healthcare services across the country

Consultants will begin strike action at 0700 on Tuesday 19th September until 0700 on Thursday 21st September. Junior doctors will begin strike action on Wednesday 20th September at 0700 until 0700 on Saturday 23rd September.

Picket lines

We anticipate that we will have picket lines at the following regional locations from Tuesday morning, with Tuesday and Wednesday expected to be the busiest days.
