As reported by the BBC, the King will share his lifelong love of nature in a festive Radio 4 special

This Christmas, BBC Radio 4 will air a festive edition of This Natural Life featuring His Majesty The King. On 23 December, presenter Martha Kearney visits Dumfries House in Ayrshire, the headquarters of The King’s Foundation, where The King discusses his lifelong passion for nature and the environment.

Rural skills, marine conservation, topiary and even the simple pleasure of pruning all form part of His Majesty’s reflections as he strolls through the estate’s arboretum, where he traces his love of nature back to childhood.

Young participants and staff from Dumfries House’s outdoor education programmes also feature in the episode.

BBC Radio 4 will air This Natural Life at 12 noon on Tuesday 23 December, followed by a Christmas Day repeat.
